Storm over the Lighthouse
One of the reasons I love painting is it allows me to revisit a special place even after I've come home. In this case, it's the lighthouse at Berwick-Upon-Tweed. It was one of my favourite places to walk to, from where we were staying in Spittal earlier this year. Sometimes, the lighthouse was bathed in sunshine under a clear blue sky. Sometimes you could just make out the shape of it in the mist. And in this painting, it's standing strong and proud with a huge storm brewing overhead.
