Storm over the Dunes

These houses on top of the dunes at Anderby Creek always seem braced for a storm. They face out to see, as though keeping an eye on the weather. And at the same time, they're nestled in the tall grasses of the dunes as though taking cover from an incoming storm. 
 
I paint these houses often as my daily walk down to the beach at Anderby Creek provides me an ever-changing view of them. 
 
For this painting, I've chosen to simplify the houses to allow the location to speak for itself.   
 
This chalk pastel painting measures 12x8 inches unframed, 15x12 inches framed. It's available framed or unframed.
 
Frames come with a Perspex front to avoid damage in transit. Framed paintings are carefully packaged in bubble wrap and a sturdy cardboard box to reach you in excellent condition.
 
Unframed paintings are lightly sprayed with a chalk pastel fixative to avoid smudging, but please handle with care. It is delivered flat in a card-backed envelope.
