St James' Church
I have sketched St James' church many times on my outings with the Hammond House sketch group in Louth. And I've always wanted to paint it in chalk pastels, so am thrilled that I finally got to do it. I was waiting to get the right reference photo, and I got it when walking back from Westgate Fields on a hot, summer's day. I've always loved the view of the church from Westgate and I especially loved the lighting on this day, with the dark shadows from the large trees.
This chalk pastel painting measures 12x8 inches unframed, 15x12 inches framed. It's available framed or unframed - just choose your frame and mount colours at the checkout.
