Beach Huts on the Prom

Beach huts are so wonderfully evocative of summer holidays and having fun with friends and family, which is why I love painting them so much. This cute row of colourful beach huts is inspired by my walks along the prom at Sutton on Sea.    
 
This is a watercolour and ink painting.
 
I start by sketching out the scene in pencil, then I add colour with layers of watercolour. And I love finishing it with ink at the end for definition and a bit of drama!
 
This painting measures approximately 12x8 inches unframed, 15x12 inches framed.

If you're choosing to purchase the painting unframed, you can easily frame it yourself in an A4-sized frame. 
 
Frames come with a Perspex front to avoid damage in transit.

Unframed paintings are delivered flat in a card-backed envelope.
