As A Storm Rolls In

I love it when I'm standing in bright sunshine, and the sky in the distance is dark with a menacing storm. That contrast of dark and light brings feelings of joy and anxiety, of excitement and dread, which I love to capture in my paintings. This painting is inspired by a walk I took along the back of the dunes on the way to Chapel Point. There was an enticing cut-through to the sea, with marram grass blowing in the wind, just barely contained by weathered fencing. 
 
This chalk pastel painting measures 12x8 inches unframed, 15x12 inches framed. It's available framed or unframed - just choose your frame and mount colours at the checkout.

Frames come with a Perspex front to avoid damage in transit. Framed paintings are carefully packaged in bubble wrap and a sturdy cardboard box to reach you in excellent condition.
 
Unframed paintings are lightly sprayed with a chalk pastel fixative to avoid smudging, but please handle with care. It is delivered flat in a card-backed envelope.
